History: Wiki Link

Personality: Sleek and smooth, like black velvet, everything Lust does seems to scream 'seduction.' The way she moves her hips when she walks, the elegant arch of a brow, the way she holds her slender fingers, the silky tone of her voice... It's clear she's the embodiment of her vice. She's a beautiful woman, who's fully aware of this, and uses it to her advantage.

Despite her temptress appearance and attitude, it seems Lust hates to be touched in an affectionate fashion. She can tolerate it to some degree in order to realize her plans, but as for initiating contact herself? A touch to the shoulder, a reassuring squeeze to the arm...these seem to be the limit of her willingness to make physical contact with another. It's unclear why she dislikes being touched. At one point it drives her to kill a promising alchemist who constantly professes his love to her to the point where he's willing to abandon his fiancee who loves him. Perhaps it's his unfaithfulness that ultimately disgusts her, as she has little regard for humanity to begin with. It was clear that he was only attracted to Lust and did not truly love her. She murdered him without regret, even though it ruined her plans to mold him into someone who would create a Philosopher's Stone.

With the exception of touch, for the most part Lust is cool and unflappable. Her expressions are usually muted to a large degree, often displaying a sort of bored or mild amusement. It's extremely rare for her countenance to change to any large degree, making her a difficult person to read. She finds insults to mean very little, unmoved by fools who waste their time shouting or lecturing. Even when her plans are foiled, her disappointment is minimal. Her years of being immortal and knowing she couldn't be destroyed made her patient, albeit a touch reckless. Though it's certainly possible to make her angry, it's VERY hard to do so, and no one seems to know what it is that will push her to the edge.

Being without a soul had its benefits. The primary effect it had on Lust was that she felt no guilt for her crimes. It didn't matter to her who got hurt or killed. Young, old, male, female, human, animal...none of them mattered to Lust. She was willing to cut anyone down if it suited her purpose. She took no pleasure from killing, and still doesn't, so it's not like she'll run around gutting people for fun. She is, however, very focused on her goals, and she'll do anything it takes to see that these goals are realized. Her ruthlessness has been somewhat tempered, due to her relationship with the Elrics and Scar prior to her death, as well as the changes worked upon her being once she woke up in Crystallis. Being around certain others, like Badou, Mikleo, and Joker, have also imprinted the beginnings of a conscience upon her. While she'll still cut down an enemy without remorse, she's less inclined to be cruel about it.

Lust's ultimate desire is to become human. An odd thing to be sure, since she doesn't really LIKE human beings to begin with. But it's a deep, innate desire that she can't help, and her body longs for a real soul of its own. She wants this more than anything else, and she's desperate to make sure it happens. In this, she truly embodies the vice for which she was named. Being made mortal is a mixed blessing. In a sense it allows her to experience more of what humans do, in that she needs to eat, sleep, and recover from injuries. But she does feel somewhat robbed in that she is still not human; she's mortal. This may only be a technical difference, but she expected that being human would mean being returned to her former Ishbalan self. Scar had told her that the woman he'd known had been kind and gentle, and would never have done the things that Lust did. She isn't either of those things, and she's still apt to do terrible things if she must. The fact that she's mostly unchanged is disappointing, and there are many times where she feels uncomfortable in her own skin, absently scratching idly at her palms or the back of her hands when she becomes introspective.

One of her greatest advantages is that she's a master diplomat and maninpulator. Lust knows how to talk to people. She knows what they want to hear, and she knows what they want her to say. It's difficult to discern her true intentions and to separate the lies from the truths and the half-truths. Her skills of manipulation are rarely matched.

If she has nothing to gain from lying, she doesn't mind being blunt in telling other people what she is, or what she's after. She can be quite candid when she chooses to be, or she can choose to be mysterious and evasive, even if it's wholly on a whim. It depends on her mood, her desires, and how much she trusts the other person. Given how slow she is to trust another, there are very few who truly know her.

There are still some things that are going to take some time to get used to, such as the fact that she can actually die and be wounded. In combat she's aggressive and fearless. At times this has been a huge advantage, since her killing instinct is often unexpected and brutal. She's not accustomed to dodging, or even needing to dodge, although she's naturally quick on her feet. Eating and drinking is seen as something of a chore, primarily because their options were limited when eking out a living and subsisting on monsters and foraged plants. Once she's allowed to try authentic cooking, she'll probably find that she has a liking for spicy and heavily seasoned foods. She likes alcohol only to the point of picking up a light buzz; she experienced a hangover once in the previous seven months and swore 'NEVER AGAIN' due to how sick she felt. And then there's sleeping. Knowing when to retire out of weariness is still unusual, but she does enjoy dreaming. That was something she never got to experience until coming to this world. Perhaps that's why she looks so peaceful when she sleeps.

Third-Person Sample: One of the threads from the event.
Mognet Sample: I have a philosophical question for many of you, if you would not mind indulging me with a little personal information. I understand many of you could be considered selfless, perhaps even altruistic. Have you ever sacrificed yourself for the sake of someone or something else, or made the attempt? What drove you to do this? Is it an instinct for you, or was it something you debated?

Of course, if you're the sort who puts yourself first, I'd like to know if there was ever something that caused you to reconsider this classification.

If you wish to know why I ask, I don't mind telling you. But I would prefer to hear your answer first.

Signed,
Lust

Moogle Gender: Female
First Job: Dragoon (MAXED)
Second Job: Dark Knight (MAXED)
Limit Break: Ouroboros - The tattoo of the winged snake on Lust's chest glows, then projects an enormous copy of itself made out of dark energy. It stops eating its tail long enough to devour an enemy whole, whose remaining life energy then replenishes Lust's. Does not work on bosses.
